Indigenous Prophesy Today

The upcoming documentary film Indigenous Prophesies Today  is a universal call for humanity to change its relationship with the earth and with indigenous cultures. 

 Susan  Stark Christianson documented important stories that have traditionally guided indigenous and aboriginal cultures. Compelling interviews with  Tlingit, Amara, Hopi, Shinto, Mayan, and other elders and culture  bearers from Alaska, Australia, Japan, Central and South America and  tribes across the United States document creation stories, prophesies  and warnings given to humanity and call people to find ways to live with  greater respect for the earth and for each other.  

The elders  interviewed shared what they believe is important to preserve from their  cultures and how their cultural teachings offer solutions to many  problems in today’s world. The film challenges viewers to value  indigenous wisdom, spirituality and cultural knowledge and offers  inspiration, hope and insights for our collective healing today. We had hoped to complete this project in 2020, but as you know, the year was full of many unwelcome surprises. Our next step in the process is to document stories in Australia and we look forward to revisiting our friends there to add the critical aboriginal voices to this documentary.
